How to Lose Control
Design talk with industrial and graphic designer, Boris Berlin.
The Danish Art Workshops, December 13. at 4.30 pm.
The work of Boris Berlin is characterized by a combination of experimentation and perfection. He insists on letting the material lead the way to the greater result of his design, but he is not willing to compromise his overall idea. To let the material decide for him becomes a poetic metaphor as he directs a critique at the whole area of European design for always aiming for total control. He sees this as a weakness – as an expression of insecurity.
With this talk Boris Berlin wishes to address the fear of losing control. He believes in following the flow of the work and the ‘voice’ of the material.
